Wooden Blanket Box
This charming original piece was used as a dowry box during traditional weddings in Rajasthan, India. The box would be passed around to collect gifts from the family of the bride, typically jewellery and textiles, to be presented to the lucky groom. Hand-wrought iron fixings and detailing add its historic character. The dowry box has been sensitively restored to create a unique and beautiful storage box.
